Ribbons Browbands are enclosed by a plastic cover that protects the fabric ribbon from dirt, sweat and wet weather.
Over time, dirt and hair will build up on the cover and should be regularly removed with a soft, damp cloth then wiped dry. Use a mild detergent only if needed. Do not use other cleaning products or rub/scrub with any force as this can damage the appearance or scratch the surface of the cover.
Although the plastic cover can withstand rain, overspray and splashes they are not water tight and the browbands should never be fully submerged as this can damage the ribbon or cause condensation to build up under the cover. If water does enter the browband, the screws should be removed and the water squeezed out as best it can be and then left to dry out.
